Morning Muse 80 : Embracing Life’s Journey

A vineyard, a timeless lesson, and wisdom from Buscaglia and Osho remind us: life is not about arriving but about becoming. Change is not our enemy—it is our companion on the path of growth, love, and self-discovery. Embrace it, love deeply, and give your best—the time is now.

Many years ago, a young man was sent to work in his family’s vineyard. On his first day, he felt overwhelmed—rows of tangled vines stretched endlessly, and the work seemed impossible. An elderly worker noticed his despair and said, “Don’t try to finish the vineyard today. Just care for the vine in front of you. By season’s end, you’ll be amazed at what you’ve done.”

The young man followed his advice. Day by day, the vines looked neater, the fruit sweeter, until the entire vineyard was thriving. Later, he realized the lesson wasn’t about grapes—it was about life: transformation happens one small, loving step at a time.

Over the past weeks, I’ve been revisiting one of my favorite books, Living, Loving & Learning by Leo F. Buscaglia. Though he left this world decades ago, his words remain timeless: “An investment in life is an investment in change... Once you are involved in the process of becoming, there is no stopping. But what a fantastic journey.”

Osho beautifully echoed this truth: life is not about arriving but about becoming—unceasingly and joyfully. Like a river that never ceases to flow, we are meant to evolve, shedding old skins and blossoming into new selves. Resistance to change breeds suffering; embracing it brings freedom and joy.

What if we welcomed change as a friend? What if we loved more deeply—not only others but also ourselves—through every twist and turn? Imagine a world alive with opportunity, growth, and connection.

So today, I challenge you: be the best version of yourself. Be more loving with everyone you meet. Open your arms to change. Learn, grow, and give your best. And when tomorrow arrives, let it be another chance to move closer to the person you’ve always longed to be.

The time is now. Don’t wait. Be the loving, caring soul you already are—and never hesitate to share your tenderness. The world is waiting for more of that love.
