Your greatest treasure may lie buried in your own backyard.
Once, there lived a farmer who was content because he was happy, and happy because he was content. One day, a wise traveller told him of diamonds so precious that one the size of a thumb could buy a city, and one a fraction larger could buy a country.
That night, the farmer’s peace vanished. Discontent took root. He sold his farm and set out across continents in search of diamonds. Years later—exhausted, penniless, and broken—he ended his life in despair.
Meanwhile, on the very land he had abandoned, the new owner discovered a sparkling stone in the stream. It was a diamond. In fact, the farm sat upon acres of diamonds all along.
Opportunity is often right beneath your feet—if only you choose to see it. The grass isn’t greener elsewhere; while you envy others, they may envy you. Complainers miss their chance, but the wise act—knowing each opportunity is unique and never comes twice.
