Morning Muse 65 : Beyond Belief: The Leap of Trust

A story of a ropewalker reminds us: belief says “You can do it,” but trust says “I’m willing to let you carry me.” We often say we believe in God — but do we truly trust Him with our lives?

A man once walked across a rope strung high between two tall towers, balancing with a long stick, his young son perched on his shoulders.

The crowd below watched in breathless silence until he safely reached the other side. Applause erupted. People cheered, shook his hand, and snapped selfies.

“Do you think I can walk back across?” he asked.
“Yes! Yes! You can!” they shouted.

“Do you trust me?”
“Yes, absolutely!” they cried.

“Then… who will sit on my shoulders as I cross?”
Suddenly, silence.

Belief is saying “You can do it.”
Trust is saying “I’m willing to put myself in your hands.”
We believe in God. But do we truly trust Him?
