Morning Muse 56 : Do You Have Time? Or Do You Have Priorities?
We often say, “I don’t have time.” But the truth is, time is not about hours—it’s about priorities. When you choose what matters most, time appears. This reflection invites you to shift from chasing minutes to creating meaning.

Do You Have Time?
So many people say, “I don’t have time.”
But is it really a lack of time—or a lack of clarity?
If you pause and look closely, you’ll notice something surprising:
Most of those who say they don’t have time… don’t even keep a written schedule.
They’re not short on time—they’re short on time management.
But wait—even those with well-maintained calendars and tidy agendas still say, “I wish I had more time.”
So what’s really going on?
The truth is: time isn’t just about minutes and hours.
It’s about priorities.
We make time for what we value.
You play because you give play a priority.
Someone works late into the night while others sleep—because they’ve prioritized progress.
You take time for your family—because they matter to you.
You sit down to invest, reflect, or meditate—because you’ve chosen that over something else.
Time appears when we decide what matters most.
Let’s flip the narrative.
Instead of saying:
“I don’t have time for this.”
Say:
“This is not a priority right now.”
This shift may feel uncomfortable—but it’s also powerful.
Because when we own our priorities, we begin to own our time.
Think about it this way:
If something is your priority—you will make time.
If you keep saying you don’t have time—it may not truly be a priority.
“There was a priority, due to the time given;
There was time, due to the priority it was given.”
Today’s Gentle Reflection:
What are your true priorities today?
Are you giving them the time they deserve?
If something deeply matters to you—family, health, faith, purpose—honor it with your time.
Because time doesn’t come from the clock.
It comes from intention.
Try This Today:
Write down your top 3 priorities.
Schedule just 30 minutes for each.
Watch how your day begins to align with what truly matters.
Time isn’t something you find.
It’s something you create—through the power of clear, conscious choice.
Wishing you a day filled with meaningful minutes and purposeful priorities.
Make time for what makes life beautiful.
