Morning Muse 428 : If God Were Interviewed

True fulfilment comes from love, gratitude, forgiveness, and self-awareness rather than wealth, comparison, or achievement. God's love is unconditional, and a heartfelt prayer is enough to reconnect us with Him.

Imagine being granted a rare audience with God and asking a simple question:

“What surprises You most about human beings?”

Perhaps God would smile and reply:

“I marvel at how people rush through life. They are eager to grow up, yet later long for the innocence of childhood. They sacrifice their health in pursuit of wealth, only to spend that wealth trying to regain their health. They worry so much about tomorrow that they forget to live today. And they often live as though they will never die, yet leave this world without truly having lived.”

Then, if asked what lessons He would want His children to learn, perhaps He would say:

“Learn that love cannot be demanded; it can only be received. Learn that trust takes years to build and moments to break. Value people more than possessions. Do not compare yourself with others; every journey is unique. True wealth lies not in having more, but in needing less.

Learn to master your attitude before it masters you. Forgive others, and forgive yourself. Understand that words can wound deeply, while healing takes time. Plant kindness, and you will harvest joy. Happiness is not found in acquiring more, but in appreciating what already is.

Cherish true friendships. Hold your loved ones gently, not possessively. Be honest with yourself. Remember that even when you feel you have nothing to give, your presence, compassion, and understanding can ease another person's pain.

Above all, know that My love for you is unconditional. You do not have to earn it. And the shortest distance between us is a sincere prayer.”

Perhaps that is what we forget most often. We search for answers in distant places, chase happiness through achievement, and measure our worth through comparison, while many of life's deepest truths are quietly present within us.

Reflection

Life's greatest lessons are often simple, but not easy. Wisdom begins when we stop endlessly chasing what is missing and learn to recognize, appreciate, and give thanks for what is already present.

Sometimes the greatest prayer is not a request for something more, but a quiet thank you for what we already have.
