Let me share with you a quiet little story today…
Once, a monk was asked,
“Master, where do you find peace?”
The monk gently smiled and replied,
“In stillness.”
The seeker pressed on,
“But where do you go to find this stillness?”
The monk softly pointed to his heart and said,
“When the mind becomes still, I can live anywhere.”
In our modern world — overflowing with noise, movement, and endless chatter — we often forget the quiet power of stillness, the healing embrace of silence, and the clarity that solitude brings.
Elisabeth Kübler-Ross once wrote:
“Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself, and know that everything in life has a purpose. There are no mistakes, no coincidences; all events are blessings given to us to learn from.”
The mystics and sages remind us that the true Self — the real “I” — is not the voice in our heads or the stories we cling to.
It is pure awareness, a presence where silence naturally resides.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
In solitude, we begin to find ourselves again.
When we walk alone, the mind unwinds.
Thoughts start flowing like a gentle stream.
Even Leonardo da Vinci observed:
“If you are alone, you belong entirely to yourself.”
So today, let us honor the silences:
The hush of early morning...
The pause between thoughts...
The quiet knowing that life is always guiding us toward growth.
As Eckhart Tolle beautifully reminds us:
“How do you know this is the experience you need? Because it’s the one you’re having right now.”
Take a deep breath. Step back.
Let your thoughts settle like dust on still water.
And remember:
When the self becomes calm, everything becomes calm.
To the extent we practice humility, to that extent peace arises.
Affirmation of the Day
This mind knows its true identity and its creative point of Divine Self-expression.
Have a beautiful day.
Let silence be your teacher.
Let solitude be your companion.
And let stillness reveal the Divine within.
