Morning Muse 272 : The Festival Within

Navratri reminds us that beneath life’s diversity, there is one unifying Divine presence—both in nature and within ourselves. The same inner energy can create or disturb, depending on how consciously we direct it. True celebration is rising above illusion and returning to a state of inner peace and steadiness.

Navratri is not merely a festival of nine nights; it is a reminder that diversity can dance without division—many notes, one melody; many paths, one Presence.

The Divine is not distant. It breathes through the earth beneath our feet, flows in water, glows in fire, moves in air, and expands in space. To celebrate is to revere these elements—both outside and within.

There is a sacred fire in each of us. When guided, it becomes creativity, courage, and compassion. When left untended, it turns into restlessness. The Mother principle teaches direction, not suppression.

And then there is Maya—the grand choreography of appearances. We chase what flickers and forget what abides. Yet the same consciousness that appears as strength and peace can also appear as confusion. When we truly see this, we stop fighting the mind and begin to smile at it.

True celebration is returning to the Self—
Where the mind rests,
Where peace does not tremble.

Today also marks Gudi Padwa and Ugadi—the dawn of a new year, reminding us that life constantly renews itself with hope, courage, and fresh beginnings. May this sacred turning of time inspire clarity in thought, strength in action, and joy in every home.

Wishing you and your family a year filled with prosperity, harmony, and inner peace
