Morning Muse 247 : The Bunch of Keys
Life gives us small seeds of wisdom and opportunity—we can ignore them, preserve them, or nurture them until they multiply. True growth comes when we cultivate what we receive and allow it to benefit both ourselves and others.

A wealthy old man, before handing over the household keys, decided to test his four daughters-in-law. He gave each of them five grains of corn and said, “Preserve these for four years. When I return, I will ask for them.”
The first thought the grains were insignificant and threw them away.
The second feared they might carry some hidden blessing, so she ate them.
The third carefully wrapped them in cloth and stored them safely in a box.
But the fourth did something different. She planted them. Season after season, she nurtured the harvest, saving and replanting the seeds. Over four years, five simple grains multiplied into overflowing granaries.
When the old man returned and saw what each had done, he handed the keys to the one who had planted and grown what she received.
Life gives each of us a few precious “grains”—values, teachings, opportunities, moments of awareness.
Some discard them casually.
Some consume them for quick comfort or gain.
Some preserve them safely but passively.
A rare few plant them, nurture them, and allow them to multiply.
Wisdom is not meant merely to be stored. It is meant to be lived, practiced, and expanded. When we cultivate what is given—goodness, discipline, compassion, awareness—it grows within us and quietly nourishes many around us.
Do not merely preserve what life has placed in your hands.
Plant it.
Nurture it.
Let it multiply—for your growth and for the good of others.
