Morning Muse 243 : The Colours Within
Life becomes harmonious when we play each of our roles with clarity and balance, without unconsciously mixing them. A truly colourful life flows from inner stillness—express each shade fully, then return to your calm centre.

The festival of Holi reminds us that life, like a palette of colours, is meant to be lived fully—but wisely. Each colour is vibrant when seen distinctly. Mix them carelessly, and they turn dark.
In the same way, we play many roles in life—parent, professional, leader, friend. When each role is honoured in its rightful place, life feels harmonious. But when roles overlap without awareness—authority at home, emotion at work—confusion quietly follows.
Ancient wisdom called this balance Varnashram—the art of performing one’s role with sincerity and clarity. Not rigid identity, but conscious participation. To step into a role fully, and then step out of it gracefully.
Between roles, we must return to stillness—to our inner white canvas of consciousness. From that quiet centre, we can express every colour joyfully, without losing ourselves in any one shade.
A colourful life is not about doing more.
It is about being present in each expression.
Play the role fully.
Then return to stillness.
Then pick up the next colour.
That is harmony.
Wishing you a vibrant and balanced Holi.
