Morning Muse 219 : You

We arrive with nothing and leave with nothing, fragile at both ends of life. Knowing this, malice and selfishness lose their meaning. Live kindly now, express gratitude, offer apologies, and leave nothing important unsaid.

You came into this world with nothing, and you will leave with nothing—arriving weak, departing weak, bathed by others at both ends of life. This simple truth reminds us how fleeting and fragile our existence is, and how unnecessary malice, envy, resentment, hatred, and selfishness truly are.

With such limited time on Earth, kindness is not a luxury but a responsibility. If tomorrow were never to come, there would be apologies to offer—for harm done, for love withheld, for care that could have been deeper—and gratitude to express, to close friends and passing companions alike, each of whom shaped us in some way.

None of us are perfect, yet we are all part of one another’s journey. Let us say what matters now, live gently today, and leave nothing essential unsaid.
