Morning Muse 18 : Not Broken — Becoming Whole

A heartfelt reflection for anyone mending a broken heart. Through powerful metaphors — the broken cup, the bamboo in the storm — this piece gently reminds us: pain is not the end. With softness, resilience, and presence, healing begins. Let this moment be your doorway to peace, strength, and silent joy.

Let this new day be a gentle reminder:

No matter what happened yesterday, today is a fresh chance to heal
To breathe a little deeper.
To soften your heart, not because life is always kind, but because you are.

Let us begin today’s reflection.

If your heart is aching,
if you feel hollow inside — Pause.
Close your eyes for a moment…
And ask yourself, gently:

“What am I holding on to?”

A memory? A person?
A promise that was broken?
A silence that never got answered?

Yes, pain is real.
But so is healing.

The Clay Cup

Once, a monk was sipping tea from his favourite handmade cup when it slipped from his hand and broke. His disciple rushed over and said, “Master, I’m so sorry your favourite cup broke!” The monk smiled gently and replied, “No, no…the truth is — it was already broken.
I was just lucky to have enjoyed it for a little while.”

Nothing in life is permanent.
Everyone and everything we love is on borrowed time.
That truth, when accepted, makes the heart lighter.

Now, listen carefully to this truth:
Your heart is not made of glass — it’s made of rubber.

It may feel bruised.
It may stretch.
But it doesn't have to break.

You were born to bounce back.

Be like the lion.
Don’t let life’s wounds make you weak.
Let them make you wise.

The Bamboo and the Storm

During a wild storm, all the tall, proud trees were uprooted.
But one bamboo plant remained.

When asked how it survived, it said:

“I bent with the wind, not against it.”

Let your heart be like bamboo — flexible, resilient, and deeply rooted in faith.

Now, repeat silently in your heart:

“This pain is not here to destroy me.
It is here to awaken me.”

“I release what I cannot control.
I return to my center.”

“My heart is open. My spirit is strong.
My peace is unshaken.”

And remember:

Love is like space — it cannot diminish.
Even when people walk away, love doesn’t die.
It simply changes form.

Never doubt love.
Never doubt your capacity to love again.

Today, carry this thought with you:

“The past is over.
The future is unknown.
But this moment — right now—is a doorway to peace.”

Smile softly.
Breathe deeply.

And walk into this day,
not as someone who was broken…
But as someone who is becoming whole.

May this morning bless you with peace, strength, and silent joy.
